CryoFuture voices deep concern over the Alabama Supreme Court's recent decision equating frozen embryos with living children. This ruling diverges sharply from scientific consensus and jeopardizes reproductive healthcare, particularly in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, in Alabama.
The decision's ramifications are profound, potentially restricting access to vital fertility services and placing undue financial burdens on patients due to indefinite embryo storage requirements. These challenges add significant stress to those already facing the complexities of fertility treatments.
In support of affected individuals, CryoFuture is offering to transfer frozen embryos to our California or New Jersey facilities at cost, with the first year of storage provided at a reduced rate of $100. This initiative aims to alleviate some of the pressures faced by patients in Alabama during this uncertain time.
Aligned with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), we advocate for the fundamental right to family building and call for a reevaluation of policies that limit reproductive health services.
